Register for Scare Up a Good Book

Registration for the Library's all-ages summer reading program, Scare Up a Good Book, continues until July 31st . Register in person or online.  Click on the logo to register and/or log your reading. Everyone has an opportunity to win spooktacular prizes by logging your  reading during this nine-week program.  Click here to see a list of the generous contributors  to the 2010 Summer Reading Program. Mixed Media/Open Mic Nite

Join us July 30 at the Plainfield Art League from 7-9 pm for Mixed Media/Open Mic Nite! Bring your best poetry, short story, songs, or comedy to perform. Enjoy the artwork on display by local artists. Refreshments will be served. Adults and teens only. No need to register in advance for this great evening. Doors open at 6:30 pm for open mic sign-up. FoxNews meteorologist Amy Freeze is producing a special program to commemorate the 20-year anniversary of the F5 tornado that came through Plainfield. The Lincoln Highway Traveling Exhibit Has Arrived

Brought to the Plainfield community by the Illinois Lincoln Highway Coalition and the Village of Plainfield, this interactive traveling exhibit will be on display on the main floor of the Library through September. The books/DVDs on display with the exhibit are there to be checked out. Look for information about an upcoming program on the Lincoln Highway in September.
